Hey guys,
I have a specialty shop/roastery in Philadelphia and have been having water issues. My incoming water is GH 179 KH 89. I run this thru a carbon block. I was also gifted a softener which I’ve experimented with but it only seems to effect the GH level.
All my brews seem muted, slightly chalky, slightly roasty and dull.
With 3rd wave water and Matt’s water recipe my roasts taste sweet, juicy and crisp.
I know there is possibly up to 100ppm of sodium according to the local water reports. Is sodium the same as KH?
Is there any other option than an RO system?
