EK affecting adjacent scale reading

I have an ohaus scale next to our EK and have noticed that when I turn the EK on I always get about an extra 0.5g on the scale reading! Anyone got any ideas or had anything similar?

No solution here, but i have experienced weird scale readings in the past. I had a scale that would go nuts any time you brought a particular brand of silicon spatula anywhere near. No idea whta was going on there, but in your case i would guess magnets in the motor windings causing EM interference.

Or it’s just vibrations through the bench.

Isolate it with a sponge or something. Should do the trick!
