I know it seems unlikely, but I just seem to have the worst luck when it comes to grinders.
My EK43, even after aligning, produces an excessive amount of fines, making any brew I make taste just bitter no matter the grind size. I’ll attach some pictures so you can see the amount of fines I’m talking about. Even grinding on a 11 level, I still get very muddy cups when doing immersion and overextractions when doing pour-overs.
And with my E65S, also after alignment, I seem to only be able to use the grind setting “0” for all my coffee, maybe playing between “0” and “0.3”. Meaning I can only grind at the finest possible setting to get an espresso that falls between the 20-30 second mark, anything coarsers and it just runs in 10-15 seconds.
I’m out on a limb here guys, and cursing myself for not returning these grinders for thinking I could solve this issues or it was a matter of seasoning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
