Conical V.S. Flat Burr/ Cleaning Schedule

Hello all,

I have been trying to get the most our of my grinders, which has lead me to a couple questions:

  1. I have heard a lot of talk in terms of Flat V.S. Conical Burrs. What are the benefits and deficits of each?

  2. What is you grinding cleaning and maintenance schedule in terms of burr deep cleaning and replacement?

I will say we’ve found the use of grinder cleaners to be overpriced relative to just replacing burrs when needed on our mazzer super jolly, but many grinders have more than expensive burrs.
